LOGAN, Utah--()--FreeMotion Fitness® and the National Fitness Business Alliance (NFBA) have partnered to offer two-day workshops designed to give fitness clubs a revenue-boosting edge with personal training.

The fitness industry has become oversaturated with various clubs operating upon the same revenue generating model—increasing client membership. Today’s landscape features intense competition between low-priced clubs chasing the same heavy volume of new members. The heavy competition has made it increasingly difficult to increase revenue. How can a club increase membership cost and volume without offering anything more unique than the other club options?

Personal training offers the largest potential for profit by providing your club with a unique selling point that other clubs aren’t maximizing. By offering club members a higher return on investment, owners can justify higher costs and a reason for club members to stick around.

“The fitness industry is evolving towards a training-centric model where everything we do is based upon getting maximum results for the club and their clients,” says NFBA President Robert Creech.

The NFBA says FreeMotion’s innovative lines of functional, cable-based strength equipment—LiveAxis™, Genesis™ and Genesis DS—are the perfect tools to transform clubs into a personal training and revenue generating powerhouse. Unlike traditional, isolated strength machines, FreeMotion allows the user to activate multiple muscle groups with free range of movement. Whether they are elite athletes or people who work out in the limited time they have, FreeMotion's world-class, cable-based products are designed to engage their entire body in less time.

“FreeMotion is over a generation ahead with their equipment and was the first major equipment company to understand the power of functional training and what it meant to the future of the gym business,” says Creech.

FreeMotion founded the first full cabled based circuit and believes that cable based training is a critical part of the progression of fitness.

“Our mission to provide personal trainers with the most effective and cost-efficient equipment possible fits perfectly with the NFBA’s mission to increase club revenue with personal training,” says FreeMotion President Pat McGinnis.

“Cable based training is safe, simple, versatile, and appropriate for deconditioned all the way to elite athletes,” says McGinnis.

The NFBA’s two-day workshop “Fit.Biz.Con” teaches club owners how to transform their clubs into this revenue-boosting model and how to market it to the consumer. Business experts Rick Mayo, Thomas Plummer and Jillian Russo will show club owners how to elevate themselves from the saturated, competitive market of low-cost, high volume memberships to a club that offers members more for their money. Owners can choose between five workshop locations between April and September of this year.
