NCOAA Restructures to Increase Resources and Improve Efficiency

RALEIGH, N.C.--()--The North Carolina Outdoor Advertising Association (NCOAA) has launched into 2014 with a brand new management and lobbying team intended to bolster the perseverance, protection and advancement of the Out-of-Home Advertising Industry.

Paul Hickman, NCOAA president and general manager of Fairway Outdoor Advertising, made the announcement saying, “I’m pleased to announce that NCOAA has a new management team in place that will take our association to a whole new level of success.”

The NCOAA board of directors has retained Lisa Reynolds, president of Association Management Inc., to serve as executive manager for the NCOAA.

In addition to increasing efficiencies relating to the management and operations aspects of the association—the NCOAA is also pleased to announce a new lineup of veteran lobbyists.

Heading up the lobbying team will be Out-of-Home Industry veteran Aaron Guyton who boasts nearly a decade of experience in government affairs with Fairway Outdoor Advertising. Joining Guyton will be Cameron Henley and Tommy Sevier of Moore & Van Allen. Both Henley and Sevier have nearly five years of Outdoor Industry experience as they previously served as contract lobbyists for Adams Outdoor Advertising.

The NCOAA board of directors is also pleased to announce that they will continue to retain Craig Justus of the Van Winkle Law Firm to serve as general counsel. Justus has nearly 15 years’ experience representing the industry including several cases where he has been victorious at the Supreme Court and appellate levels. Rounding out the new team is Stan Hill, CPA with Watts & Scobie who will retain his position as association accountant.

“With the restructuring of our association complete, the NCOAA is well on its way to becoming bigger, stronger and more efficient as we seek to protect the vital jobs that our members employ while simultaneously striving to enhance the statewide economy by promoting the businesses that utilize our advertising assets,” said Hickman.
