Chatwala Introduces Groundbreaking Video Messaging Application Capturing Authentic Reactions to Video Messages

App Blends Brevity of Texting and Emotion of Video to Create Asynchronous Yet Continuous Conversations

NEW YORK--()--Chatwala is delighted to introduce an entirely new way to communicate with its premiere video messaging application. The Chatwala app is simple – send your friend a video message and when your friend replies you will see their reaction to your original message plus their reply. The app allows users to see and experience the authentic reaction of the person they are conversing with, through brief, personalized and asynchronous video messages that thread together as a continuous conversation over time. Chatwala is poised to dramatically transform the way people exchange and experience mobile messages.

In a culture of constant texting, devoid of visual connections or reactions, Chatwala offers a powerful new approach, one that will make messaging more engaging and intimate. It records expressions, intonations, and reactions to specific messages – bringing mobile communication to life in a way never before imaginable. Like texting, the videos can be viewed instantly or at anytime, providing for a continuous, personal exchange over minutes or months.

How is Chatwala Unique?

There is nothing in the marketplace quite like Chatwala. Although instant messaging and video conferencing apps exist, before Chatwala there was no way to send short personal video messages, have reactions recorded along with replies and create a threaded dialogue that can be picked up at any time. With Chatwala there is no need to coordinate schedules to have a personal and engaging video-based conversation.

Chatwala’s appeal is vast and includes friends and family living in different time zones where the intimacy of dialogue and expressions are paramount; customer service representatives wishing to engage thoughtfully and personally with customers; and within the educational sector where teachers can engage with students at their convenience. Chatwala’s appeal is as universal as texting. The app is for everyone wishing to experience a deeper connection when sending and receiving quick messages.

“I created Chatwala to introduce a more meaningful, personal, and convenient way to communicate using our smartphones,” explained Chatwala Founder, Tejpaul Bhatia. “Mindful of the power of video to convey expressions, and the popularity and convenience of texting, Chatwala blends the best of both worlds into a new, innovative tool.”

How does Chatwala work?

Using Chatwala is simple and free. The first step is to download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Next, record a message up to 10 seconds in length and send it to anyone via SMS or Email. Once opened, the recipient’s reaction to the video message is recorded while viewing the message. The receiver then has up to 10 seconds to record a reply after their reaction. The full reaction + reply video can be previewed and re-recorded, before sending.

Through Chatwala, a compelling back and forth dialogue is created and maintained with a threaded conversation that shows both sides of the conversation simultaneously, even though it is happening asynchronously. The app also brings the user back into the previous conversation, no matter how long the gap is between messages. With this app, it is possible to have a 30-minute conversation over the course of a year in 30-second snippets.
