MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wright Medical Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WMGI) today announced that it has completed its acquisition of OrthoPro, LLC (OrthoPro), a high-growth extremities company. Along with the acquisition of Solana Surgical announced last week, this transaction adds complementary extremity product portfolios to further accelerate growth opportunities in Wright’s global Extremities business.
Wright previously announced plans on January 30, 2014 to acquire OrthoPro for an upfront purchase price of $32.5 million paid in cash at closing, plus milestone payments of up to an additional $3.5 million in cash, contingent upon the achievement of certain revenue-based milestones.
Wright will provide additional information on the financial impact of the OrthoPro and Solana Surgical transactions on its fourth quarter 2013 earnings call, which is scheduled for February 24, 2014.
