(NYSE MKT: DEJ / TSX: DEJ), an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company operating in North America's Piceance Basin and Peace River Arch regions, announces that it closed a non-brokered private placement, subject to a Canadian regulatory hold period of 4 months, for 7 million shares at a price of C$0.11 per share.
As previously announced, proceeds from this placement will be used to eliminate U.S. payables and enhance working capital. The Company paid finder fees of 7.0% of the proceeds in cash to bone fide agents, as appropriate. Insiders purchased 450,000 common shares of this placement. In addition, a newly-elected Director purchased 450,000 common shares prior to becoming an insider.
The closing of the placement and the issuance of the shares were subject to approval by the TSX and the NYSE MKT.
