Cleantech Investment in Massachusetts Tops $480 Million in 2013

i3 market intelligence platform shows state’s 2013 deal volume at 70

According to data in i3, Massachusetts’s top deals and their investors were:

  • Blu Homes, an Energy Efficiency company, raised $65,000,000 from Brightpath Capital Partners, and Skagen Group in a growth equity round
  • SimpliVity, an Energy Efficiency company, raised $58,000,000 from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), DFJ Growth, Meritech Capital Partners, Swisscom, Accel Partners, and Charles River Ventures in a growth equity round
  • Joule, a Biofuels & Biochemicals company, raised $50,000,000 from Flagship Ventures in a growth equity round
  • WiTricity, an Energy Efficiency company, raised $25,000,000 from Intel Capital, and Foxconn Technology Group in a growth equity round
  • Aspen Aerogels, an Advanced Materials company, raised $22,500,000 from undisclosed investors in a structured debt round
