NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StepStone Group LP (“StepStone”), a leading global private markets firm, today announced the appointment of David Altshuler, Brenden Woods and Kate Budiselik as senior executives in its real assets platform. StepStone’s real assets platform focuses on building top performing global real assets portfolios for leading institutional investors through a combination of fund investments, secondaries and co-investments. Mr. Altshuler and Mr. Woods are Partners and Co-Heads of Real Assets, and Ms. Budiselik is a Vice President.

Mr. Altshuler joins StepStone from Meketa Investment Group (Meketa), where he was Senior Vice President and Infrastructure Practice Leader. In this role, he advised a diverse group of public and private pension plans on all aspects of private market infrastructure, energy, and other real asset investments, including sourcing and evaluation of funds, co-investments, and direct investments, and policy and program design and implementation. Prior to joining Meketa, Mr. Altshuler held senior investment positions in the infrastructure financing and fixed income groups at Nuveen Investments in Chicago. He holds an MA and PhD from the University of Chicago and a BA from Reed College.
Mr. Woods joins StepStone from Macquarie Group, where he was Head of Real Assets for Macquarie Investment Management’s private markets division and a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee and the Senior Partners Committee. Prior to that, Mr. Woods was the Chief Operating Officer (Asia) for Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. He joined Macquarie in 2006 and during his tenure he held senior positions in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States. He has also held infrastructure industry roles with British Gas and Anglian Water in the United Kingdom, as well as advisory and consulting positions with Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Woods holds a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England in Australia.
Ms. Budiselik joins StepStone from Macquarie Group, where she was a Vice President focused on real assets in Macquarie Investment Management’s private markets division. Prior to joining Macquarie, she was responsible for formulating and managing infrastructure, real estate and private equity strategies for Western Australia’s Government Employees Superannuation Board. Ms. Budiselik has also worked for leading global organizations in Europe and Asia, including Citigroup and Macquarie Global Property Advisers. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
