LISLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molex Incorporated has recognized Huatong Electronic Co., Ltd. with its 2013 APS Local Distributor of the Year Award. Honoring Huatong for outstanding sales achievements and operational excellence as a valued distributor, the award was presented by Molex at a recent presentation ceremony held in Shenzhen, China. Award nominees were evaluated based on performance criteria, including year-over-year sales, inventory, new product support, accessibility of management, and training program support.

Founded in 1994, Huatong was qualified as the first batch authorized distributor of Molex in Greater China and has grown at an estimated annual rate of 15 percent for the past five years. In fiscal year 2013, Huatong increased revenue by 26 percent and grew demand-creation business by 87 percent. Their entire sales team participated in Molex training sessions held throughout the year.
