Continuum’s Data Center Relocates to Renowned Markley Group Facility

Upgraded State-of-the-Art, High-Capacity Data Center Brings New Equipment and Positions Continuum and its Partners for Continued Growth and Scalability

BOSTON--()--Continuum, the industry's only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed services, has relocated its data center to a premier facility hosted by Markley Group, one of the largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunications and data center facilities in New England. Located at One Summer Street in Boston, close proximity to Continuum’s headquarters, the facility offers increased storage, optimal redundancy, reliability and scalability, allowing Continuum to solidify its infrastructure health and position itself for continued growth.

“An important part of our ongoing drive to improve all areas of operations is the consistent investment in physical facilities and equipment to ensure high-performing, cost-effective and reliable service delivery,” said Continuum’s Senior Vice President of Global Service Delivery, Rob Autor. “The migration to the Markley facility is the latest example of our commitment to maintaining a top-tier operating environment for optimum reliability, security and privacy protection of our partners’ and end-users’ data.”

Markley Group’s building has 920,000 square feet of highly secured white and mechanical space housing more than 200 industry leading companies, including AT&T, NTT, British Telecom, Tata Communications, Boston Red Sox, Harvard, MIT, the Boston Internet Peering Exchange (BOSIX), The New York Times and Markley Cloud Services. Continuum’s data center relocation includes 100 percent replacement of the equipment from the company’s previous data center, including new server and networking architectures.

“This new facility is nothing short of one of the most reputable data hubs in the country,” said Michael George, CEO at Continuum. “Continuum’s association with Markley Group allows us to be more streamlined and agile moving forward, as well as to reliably and securely accelerate our services according to our partners’ needs. This is another milestone in our mission to deliver consistent excellence as we continue to evolve our overall service platform to the benefit of our partners.”

“We’re honored to welcome a managed services leader such as Continuum to our world class tenant base in our SSAE16-compliant facility,” said Jeffrey D. Markley, CEO of Markley Group. “With connectivity to more than 75 domestic and international network providers, Continuum is among an impressive roster of companies relying on Markley Group’s unmatched performance, low latency and lowest costs available.”

This new data center follows another recent, major move this year by Continuum where the company doubled its Network Operations Center (NOC) capacity, moving to a larger, more technologically advanced facility in Mumbai, India that is also attracting a higher caliber of talent.
