LAGUNA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vacation Resorts International (VRI), a provider of management and leisure services to vacation owners and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), today announced it has entered into a long-term agreement to provide property management services for The Hammocks on Bald Head Island, a fractional ownership retreat consisting of 23 luxurious homes situated at the southernmost point of North Carolina’s Cape islands.
VRI will provide a range of services, including property maintenance; financial expertise in the areas of accounting, billing and collections; resort management utilizing proprietary state-of-the-art software; and owner rental and vacation exchange services.

Bald Head Island features 14 miles of ocean beach, 10,000 acres of protected salt marsh and tidal creeks, and a vast maritime forest preserve. Travel to the island is by passenger ferry or private boat and once on island, transportation is by electric car, bicycle or foot, helping to protect the island’s peaceful lifestyle.
The richly appointed two- and three-bedroom homes feature high ceilings and oversized windows. All include two large master bedrooms with private bathrooms and a whirlpool bath or garden tub. A spacious guest bedroom in three-bedroom homes has a private bath, creating a third master suite. In addition, all living areas have gas fireplaces and each home has roomy screened porches and open decks for enjoying the outdoors.
Amenities for owners include three valuable membership privileges. They enjoy the many offerings of the on-site Hammocks Club, which features a sauna, outdoor hot tub, heated pool, and billiards room. They also have access to the nearby Bald Head Island Club with golf, croquet, tennis, a swimming pool, pro shop and fitness room, and members’ grille and lounge. The spectacular oceanfront Shoals Club located at Cape Fear Point offers dining, swimming pools and direct beach access.
The harbor at Bald Head Island is a 20-minute ferry ride from Deep Point Marina in historic Southport, North Carolina, which is approximately 30 miles south of Wilmington, North Carolina, and 60 miles north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Equity owners at the property have the option to trade their vacation time in other properties around the world through Interval International, the Quality Vacation Exchange Network.
