DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Every year, Colorado residents are faced with some sort of natural disaster or tragedy. This year, the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel has partnered with a local charity to aid the community with a New Year’s Eve Party with a Purpose. Guests will celebrate in style with a Latin jazz band during dinner, then dance the night away to Funkiphino, Colorado’s funk sensation.
“This party will be vastly different than a traditional hotel New Year’s Eve party,” states Tony Dunn, the Sheraton Denver Downtown’s General Manager. “The evening will be filled with activity, from enjoying an elegant, seated, four-course dinner and abundant premium brand cocktails and wines, to entertainment and dancing throughout the evening.” He continued that the fact the hotel is donating a portion of the proceeds from this event to Colorado Flood Relief will make this an even more memorable evening.
The ticket price for the Sheraton’s New Year’s Eve Party with a Purpose is $149 per person, including tax and gratuity. Party tickets include an open premium bar, four-course plated dinner, party favors and beautiful décor. (Guests must be 21 or older with ID to consume alcohol.)
Funkiphino, the headline band for the evening, is a 13 piece energy funk band that infuses explosive horn lines, old-school organ sounds, pumpin' bass and intoxicating vocal harmonies. They have been the band of choice for the 55th Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC. The band's excellence has earned them nominations and spots as Best Funk Band from Westword Magazine and Marquee Magazine as well as being the "go-to" band for the Denver Bronco Association and government officials.
