Kenneth R. Crook Named Corporate Representative and Senior Program Manager
The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) today opened a new office in San Antonio, Texas, to promote business partnerships and to further support military medical research throughout Texas and the southwestern United States.
“The new office represents our commitment to growing our services to the San Antonio military medical community and beyond through enhanced communications, increased client support and improved management,” said John W. Lowe, HJF president and CEO.
Kenneth R. Crook, corporate representative and senior program manager, will assist HJF from the new office, which is near the largest inpatient medical facility in the Department of Defense. Mr. Crook served the Army Medical Department for more than 31 years before joining HJF. He retired from the Office of the Army Surgeon General, where he served as the director of health care operations, and concurrently as assistant chief of staff for operations for the U.S. Army Medical Command.
Upon retirement, Mr. Crook worked as a senior program manager for several government projects, including the initial outfitting and transition of the Military Education and Training Campus and the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
In his new role, Mr. Crook will support various programs while pursuing new efforts for HJF at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. The Foundation supports numerous military medical programs in San Antonio, including Army research on breast and gynecological cancer, as well as scientific projects under way at the Naval Medical Research Unit-San Antonio. The company also supports gait training and dynamic walking research at the Center for the Intrepid.
