Bank of the Orient and Orient Bancorporation Name Michael R. Delucchi New Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The board of directors of Orient Bancorporation today announced the appointment of Michael R. Delucchi as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Bank of the Orient, subject to consent by the bank’s regulatory agencies. Mr. Delucchi joined the company on October 28^th and will serve as a consultant to the Bank pending approval. “We are very excited to welcome Mike to Bank of the Orient,” said Richard S. Cupp, Chairman and CEO. “His remarkably diverse background, including with Chinese financial institutions and customers, and his experience in finance, technology, operations, transition environments and marketing will be an outstanding addition to our distinguished bank.”

Mr. Delucchi has over 25 years of banking experience as Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Controller at various financial institutions in San Francisco and Northern California.

Mr. Delucchi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. He is active in numerous business and community organizations including, among others, as President and board member of the Golden Gate Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA), a nonprofit organization focused on risk management education for those in the banking industry, and the Alameda Boys and Girls Club.
