NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pegasus Capital Advisors, a private equity fund manager focused on providing creative capital and strategic solutions to companies impacted by global trends in resource scarcity, announced today the expansion of its renewable infrastructure investment strategy. As part of this expansion, Pegasus has added three new executives to its experienced team of professionals, Ron Klein, Marco Krapels and Edward Levin, effective immediately. Messrs. Klein, Krapels and Levin join from Rabobank, and each brings extensive experience in the renewable infrastructure sector to Pegasus as the firm broadens its clean energy focus. The team has collectively deployed more than $3 billion of capital in the renewable sector.

Prior to joining Pegasus, Mr. Klein served as Managing Director of the Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group at Rabobank in New York. As a founding member of its Renewable Energy group, he led major project financings for a large number of wind and solar power projects in the U.S. and overseas. Mr. Klein brings more than 25 years of banking experience to Pegasus having held positions at various financial institutions including Mellon Bank, TIAA-CREF and Fuji Bank.
Mr. Krapels brings 20 years of banking experience to Pegasus, including renewable energy project finance, structured finance, and credit. He most recently served as Executive Vice President at Rabobank, N.A., where he was also a member of the bank’s credit committee. Mr. Krapels spent 18 years at the bank and most recently headed up Rabobank N.A.’s capital markets and specialty finance areas, including its renewable energy finance division in California. He also served as Co-Chair of its Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
Mr. Levin brings to Pegasus a broad 15-year background financing renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Most recently, he served as Executive Director at Rabobank in New York and focused on renewable energy, where he was responsible for the bank’s activities in the renewable energy tax equity and debt sectors. Prior to joining Rabobank, he was a Vice President in the Global Structured Products Group of Morgan Stanley, where he executed principal transactions in the solar, wind and geothermal sectors. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Levin practiced law with Clifford Chance LLC and served at the International Finance Corporation, a subsidiary of the World Bank Group.
