NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JobDiva Inc. has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against Monster Worldwide Inc. for Monster’s alleged infringement of patents pertaining to resume search technology. The complaint alleges that “Monster has infringed JobDiva’s patents by incorporating JobDiva’s patented resume search technology” into Monster’s products, including “products powered by the 6Sense search engine, such as Power Resume Search, SeeMore, and Candidate Spotlight.”
JobDiva provides end-to-end recruitment and applicant tracking services through a proprietary enterprise resource planning platform representing JobDiva’s experience and innovation in the staffing industry. JobDiva’s proprietary job search platform utilizes JobDiva’s patented technology to help deliver substantial value to JobDiva’s clients and job seekers.
According to the complaint, Monster “has used JobDiva’s technology in direct competition with JobDiva’s own offerings.” As a result of “Monster’s wrongful conduct, JobDiva has been substantially and irreparably harmed.” JobDiva seeks monetary damages and injunctive relief to prevent Monster from engaging in further infringement of JobDiva’s patents.
“JobDiva has invested significant time and money developing the technology covered by its patents,” said Diya Obeid, JobDiva CEO and President. “We filed this lawsuit to protect our rights to that patented technology.”
