As a result, Penguin Computing is an authorized reseller of Univa® Grid Engine™ software, the most advanced distributed resource management platform used by enterprises and research organizations across the globe. The announcement was made at the 2013 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC13) being held November 17 – 22 in Denver, Colorado.

The software celebrated its 20th anniversary and Univa simultaneously completed the acquisition of all Grid Engine assets and intellectual property making it the sole commercial provider of Grid Engine. In addition to Univa’s core product, Penguin Computing will also provide customers with Univa’s tools to optimize expensive testing and simulation licenses as well as award-winning reporting and analysis solutions.
