CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Formica Corporation has announced three new appointments to its executive leadership team: Steve DeMay, vice president of sales; Amy Gath, vice president of marketing; and Raul Rosado, vice president and chief legal counsel. Each new associate will oversee his or her respective department in the company’s North American business operation while also lending insight to the overall business of the global Formica® brand.
“The value proposition of laminate has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years and the Formica® brand has been at the forefront of this evolution,” shares Mitch Quint, president of Formica North America. “By adding talent like Steve, Amy and Raul to our leadership team, we’re enhancing our ability to demonstrate our innovative approach, design leadership and product offerings in our overall positioning and customer relationships.”
DeMay spent 13 years with LaFarge North America, the largest diversified supplier of construction materials in the U.S. and Canada, where he advanced from regional sales manager to director of national and strategic accounts to vice president of North American sales for its Gypsum Division. Prior to joining LaFarge, DeMay held senior-level positions with Florida Tile, DAL-Tile, Armstrong World Industries and Goodyear. DeMay will be responsible for all North American sales and use his deep roots in the building products industry to build upon the company’s customer-centric approach. DeMay is a graduate of Clarion University.
Gath will lead digital, communications, advertising, creative services and overall product management as the VP of marketing. Most recently the director of marketing for Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, the world’s largest marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products, Gath is well suited to set the vision and drive the overall marketing strategy for the 100-year-old brand. Prior to Scotts, Gath worked for M&M Mars and Gannett. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado.
Rosado joins Formica Corporation from DYWIDAG-Systems International (DSI), a leading global system supplier of innovative technologies for construction and underground, where he served as a legal consultant to the general counsel and worked on the company’s risk management assessment and prevention program. Prior to that, Rosado held legal and strategic counsel positions for Cognis Corporation; LensCrafters, Inc.; Manley, Burke, Fischer, Lipton & Cook LLP; and the State of Ohio. Rosado holds a degree of Juris Doctor from University of Cincinnati College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University.
