MONTERREY, Mexico--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (“CEMEX”) (NYSE: CX) announced the winners of the XXII Edition of the CEMEX Building Award, recognizing buildings that stand out for their constructive, conceptual, technical, and aesthetic solutions.
On this edition, the CEMEX Building Award registration recorded 545 domestic buildings and 185 constructed in Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Spain, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Poland, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
The jury that evaluated all works consisted of 17 specialists from seven different countries. Winning entries of the contest were selected by the new conceptual, technical, and aesthetic solutions applied in their design, construction or use.
The CEMEX Building Award selects the best buildings constructed in different countries, recognizing the most outstanding project in each of three categories, along with two special prizes.
In the edition of the event that is exclusive for projects in Mexico, awards were given in nine categories, as well as four special prizes.

The “Life and Work” Award was given to the architect Carlos Ferrater, for his outstanding career of more than 40 years in the construction industry and his significant contribution to architecture worldwide.
