(Nasdaq:EQIX), the global interconnection and data center company, today announced that it has appointed Debra McCowan to chief human resources officer (CHRO). In this role, McCowan is responsible for the company’s human capital strategy, including all aspects of leadership development and talent management. She also will play a critical role in shaping the Equinix culture as the company moves through its next phase of growth.

- Prior to her position at Accelerance, McCowan was the vice president of Worldwide Human Resources at Avago Technologies, Inc., where she developed, deployed and led all aspects of global human resources functions and helped lead the company’s turnaround and preparation for a successful IPO.
