MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--From iPads to memory games and painting to sign language, the orangutans on Jungle Island are pretty clever and are learning new activities every day in Orangutan School. Now, Jungle Island is launching a brand new experience that lets you be a “Teacher for a Day.”
Join Jungle Island’s Orangutan School teachers for a one-on-one session with our orangutans and get a hands on interaction with our unique students. As part of the session, you’ll learn about the ins and outs of the Orangutan School enrichment program and how it benefits the daily lives of orangutans. You’ll also learn about the diet, physical attributes and more of the Jungle’s orangutans.
Once you’ve prepared the day’s lesson plan with our teachers, it’s your turn to interact with our orangutans and go through the lesson with them. Be amazed at your new students’ ability to match shapes, play a memory game, identify objects on the iPad, brush their teeth and more!

Jungle Island’s Orangutan School – Teacher for a Day is offered daily, but advance reservations are suggested. The experience costs $180 for adults and includes park admission. Reservations can be made by calling (305) 400-7000 between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, 7 days per week.
