Wenzel Spine Expands Patent Portfolio for the Zero-Profile VariLift® Stand-Alone Expandable Interbody Fusion System

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Wenzel Spine, Inc., a medical device company focused on providing minimally invasive, stand-alone alternatives to traditional spinal fusion, announced today that it has been granted a new patent related to Wenzel Spine’s Zero-Profile VariLift® Stand-Alone Expandable Interbody Fusion System. United States Patent No. 8,435,299, entitled “Expandable Osteosynthesis Cage,” was issued on May 7, 2013.

This newest addition to its patent portfolio confirms Wenzel Spine’s continuing commitment to innovation and development of industry-leading medical device solutions. For example, the VariLift® family of devices features unique zero-profile interbody designs, which allow for stand-alone use of the VariLift® system for lumbar and cervical fusion procedures.
