NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cash Money Records has officially entered into a multi-million dollar partnership for an undisclosed amount with Chase Records. This is the start of a multi-million dollar venture between both entities.
Now, under this unique collaborative initiative between Cash Money and Chase, 17-year-old rising superstar Austin Mahone will release his hotly anticipated full-length debut album later this year. With these industry powerhouses on board, it's undeniably poised to be one of the biggest pop breakouts of 2013.
This is only the beginning for the partnership between Cash Money, Chase, and Republic Records. Chase will augment Cash Money's foothold in the pop world, expanding the label's sphere of influence in the genre and strengthening its overall impact. With more projects on the horizon, they've formed a genuine dream team for all forthcoming releases. Austin's success established Chase as a launch pad for new talent, and Cash Money proves the perfect partner.
Cash Money Records co-founder and co-C.E.O. Ronald "Slim" Williams feels that excitement as well. "We've been colleagues with the Chase team for a while," he says. "As we continue our expansion, Chase Records is the perfect partner for Cash Money as we're both striving for excellence and now we're going to make history together. We've been watching Austin ascend to the ranks of pop music's elite. He's one of pop's most promising and powerful young contenders, and he's on his way to becoming a leader for the genre. As a brand, we cherish the chance to work with stars of this caliber."
Cash Money Records co-founder and co-C.E.O. Bryan “Baby” Williams aka Birdman adds, “We were extremely impressed by everything Chase Records has done with Austin. We bonded over a similar mindset, and it made sense on every level to team up. I can’t wait to see what we collectively accomplish.”
Meanwhile, the Chase Records team Michael Blumstein, Rocco Valdes, and David Abram agree, "Cash Money's support will be integral to the next phase of Chase Records and their artist development. It’s amazing to join forces with one of music’s most respected and revered entities. It’s clear to us that our label and our artists are a priority at Universal with both Cash Money and Republic Records behind us.
Together, Chase Records and Cash Money Records are ready to take over pop music. Their first project together will be the upcoming debut album release from Austin Mahone.
Austin Mahone continues to solidify himself as a genuine musical phenomenon as well. This past weekend at the MTV Video Music Awards, he took home the high honor of "Artist To Watch", and his irresistible new single "What About Love" has accumulated over 32 million YouTube/VEVO views and counting.
