WILMINGTON, N.C. & MARIETTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Osmotica Pharmaceutical Corp. today announced the appointment of Steve Banet as Vice President, Head of Commercial Development. He will be responsible for development of Osmotica’s sales and marketing presence, building Osmotica’s commercial infrastructure and leading the business development activities. “We are pleased to welcome someone with Steve’s background and experience to the Osmotica senior leadership team. Mr. Banet is a 30 year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in commercial operations, trade affairs, marketing and new business development. Prior to his appointment at Osmotica, he was Vice President, Head of U.S. Business Development for UCB Inc. During his 12 year tenure at UCB, Mr. Banet held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Commercial Operations, Sr. Director Trade Relations and Director of Marketing Research. Prior to joining UCB, Mr. Banet held a variety of positions in product management, business information and business operations at Mallinckrodt, Inc., Schering-Plough, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, and Countrymark Cooperative, a supply and marketing cooperative.
Mr. Banet holds a bachelor’s of Science degree from Purdue University; a master’s of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN; and a master’s in Business Administration in Marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University.
