PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Artisan Mobile, creator of the industry’s first Mobile Experience Management (MEM) platform, today announced that Matthew Ferry has joined the team as the new Vice President of Sales. Ferry is responsible for all aspects of business development including direct sales and channel strategy. In his role with the company, Ferry will expand on Artisan's early success introducing the Artisan® MEM platform and its powerful new approach to mobile app optimization.
"We are delighted to have Matt Ferry on board as our new Sales VP," said Bob Moul, CEO, Artisan. "He is more than a match for the task of extending our sales pipeline and communicating Artisan's unique value proposition to customer prospects."
Artisan launched Artisan Optimize, the first product on the Artisan MEM platform, in February of this year. Optimize enables real-time A/B testing of existing native mobile apps without requiring users to write code or submit changes to an app store. Customers can not only try out different versions of an app with different audiences, but also push out changes permanently based on test results.
"There is a real opportunity with Artisan to dramatically increase the value of mobile apps and further the ability of organizations to engage consumers in a branded mobile experience," said Ferry. "I look forward to working with the entire Artisan team, and to helping the company enter into its next phase of business growth."
Matthew Ferry brings more than 20 years of experience to Artisan and has proven his success in mobile computing, the M2M industry, and other Internet-related fields. Most recently, Ferry played an instrumental role in helping Axeda Corporation, a rapidly growing start-up in the M2M space, transition into a software-as-a-service business. While at the company, he helped grow recurring revenues by nearly 600 percent in just over three years.
Prior to Axeda, Ferry played a central role in evolving iPass Inc. from an early-stage start-up to a worldwide leader in secure mobile computing. As VP of Channel Sales, he tripled contract bookings and was critical to the company’s rapid growth from $4 million to $200 million in annual revenues. Ferry was also a key contributor in setting the stage for the company’s $112 million IPO and subsequent public expansion.
