SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Code Fellows, the only technical education provider that guarantees a $60,000 tech job after graduation, today announced that it is conducting a free, week-long Code Camp for at-risk kids and disadvantaged women from the greater Seattle area. The Code Camp will introduce the kids and women to programming skills that are essential to the development of games, mobile apps and web apps – and it will provide them with a head-start on a potential career path in software development.
“We’re giving students a glimpse into the world of software development in hopes of inspiring them to lean in and connect with it – and perhaps spark an interest in pursuing a career in the industry,” said Will Little, CEO of Code Fellows. “Our students will receive world-class instruction and be taught the same fundamentals skills that top programmers use to develop games and apps – and that many technical employers here in Seattle are seeking.”
The Code Camp will be conducted each morning from August 12-16 at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission Women’s shelter. As part of its curriculum, Code Fellows also provides every Code Camp attendee with access to on-going professional mentorship in cooperation with leading software development companies in the Seattle area.
