The competition encourages contestants to share a story, relating to a grandparent or grandchild, in video or essay format.
Submissions, accepted Aug. 1-15, will be voted on by the public and representatives from Consumer Cellular. One grand prize winner and six category winners will be selected.

The contest is open to anyone 18 years or older, residing in the continental U.S. Deadline for submission is Aug. 15.
To enter Consumer Cellular’s Grandparents Day contest, simply:
1. Visit www.ConsumerCellular.com/grandparents/HowItWorks for a complete list of contest guidelines and the official entry form;
2. Create a three-minute video or 500-word essay telling your favorite grandparent-related story; and
3. Upload the submission and entry form.
All entries will be available online where the public can read, watch and vote for their favorites through August 25, 2013.
One grand prize winner will receive an Orlando vacation package that includes a seven-night hotel stay for four and roundtrip airfare, valued up to $10,000. Additionally, six category prize winners will each receive a $200 hotel voucher redeemable through the AARP Travel Center. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each of the following categories:

2. Important Lesson Learned from a Grandparent
3. Fondest Memory of Grandparent
4. Cooking-related Grandparent Story
5. Travel-related Grandparent Story
6. Most Humorous Grandparent Story
