TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Travelex Japan, one of the largest merchants specializing in currency exchange, today announced the installation of OKI’s RG7 Currency Exchanger at two stores at Narita International Airport. Both machines will be operational by the end of July 2013.
Travelex began operating the RG7 Currency Exchanger located at Terminal 1 on July 19; the second machine, located at Terminal 2, is slated to begin operating July 26. The RG7 Currency Exchanger currency exchange machine is capable of simultaneously recycling deposits and accommodating withdrawals between Japanese yen and multiple foreign currencies, thereby automating exchange tasks and accelerating the pace of foreign currency exchange transactions. The deployment of these two machines follows the installation of the RG7 Currency Exchanger at the Haneda Airport International Terminal Station; the latter machine began operating March 4.
Currency exchange counters serve individuals with a broad range of needs, ranging from customers who are in no particular hurry and require a clerk to provide information on amounts and denominations to customers who simply want the fastest possible transaction. The RG7 Currency Exchanger allows Travelex to meet customer needs more precisely, boosting customer convenience and satisfaction and capturing business opportunities that would otherwise be lost during peak hours.
Moving forward, as part of efforts to enhance the convenience of currency transactions, Travelex and OKI plan to capitalize on the partnership and deploy additional machines.
- The RG7 Currency Exchanger installed at Narita International Airport handles Japanese yen and three foreign currencies (Euros, US Dollars, and Chinese Yuan) and operates in two languages, Japanese and English.
