LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Soundfreaq, maker of the critically acclaimed line of wireless speakers, today announces the launch of Sound Spot, a portable, wireless home speaker that delivers impressive sound in a fun size with the convenience of Bluetooth wireless. With a mid-century design inspiration, Sound Spot offers a clean, modern look, unique to other portable speakers, and complements home décor. Starting today, Sound Spot will be available in two versions: an all black and a wood-and-white at Target stores nationwide at a competitive price of $69. Soundfreaq will be launching additional colors at the end of Summer/early Fall.
"Sound Spot is inspired by the mid-century modern design philosophy of the Eame's offering 'the best, to the most, for the least,'” said Matthew Paprocki, co-founder/creative director for Soundfreaq. “In our experience many people enjoy bringing a portable speaker with them around the house, so we wanted to design a portable speaker specifically for the home. From the acoustics to the design details, Sound Spot is a thoughtfully crafted way to stream music from your phone to enjoy, share and ‘decorate’ your home with music. It’s great little companion speaker while your cooking, working, reading, cleaning, relaxing on the patio and entertaining guests.”
With a custom-engineered, full-range driver and carefully tuned ported housing, Sound Spot is acoustically balanced to complement anyone’s musical taste with Tone Control settings. Sound Spot is ready to bring anywhere around the home with its small size and built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery for up to seven hours of AC-free listening. It also includes a USB power port so users can charge their phones, even while Sound Spot is running on battery power.
With today’s unlimited access to streaming music and video services, Sound Spot allows users to bring their music, TV shows and movies to life and share their listening experience with friends and family. Sound Spot continues to serve Soundfreaq’s commitment to delivering a versatile, wireless audio entertainment experience, and is packed with features including:
- Built-in rechargeable battery offers up to seven hours of AC-free listening.
- Universal USB power port to charge any USB-chargeable mobile phones including iPhone, Android and Blackberry, even while Sound Spot is running on battery power.
- Line-in available to plug and play any device with a standard headphone jack.
- On Board capacitive touch buttons to control playback directly from Sound Spot.
- Daisy chain two Sound Spots via a built-in 3.5mm output jacks for an even louder acoustic experience.
Sound Spot will also be available later this summer at Office Depot. In addition to the all-black Sound Spot, Office Depot will be carrying exclusive colors, which will be announced in September.
