Visitor Registration Opens for the "MF-Tokyo 2013 -Metal Forming and Fabrication Fair Tokyo"

Mother machines for forming machines, the evolution of metal forming and laser processing technologies

TOKYO--()--Web registration is now available for the "MF-Tokyo 2013 -Metal Forming and Fabrication Fair Tokyo", sponsored by the Japan Forming Machinery Association (JFMA). The event will be held from July 24th to 27th at Tokyo Big Sight in East Halls 1 to 3.

The "MF-Tokyo 2013 -Metal Forming and Fabrication Fair Tokyo" commemorates its third exhibition since its inaugural event in 2009. This trade fair, which focuses on forming machines, is made possible through cooperation with Tokyo Big Sight and the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. The first event, MF-Tokyo 2009, included 112 companies in 701 booths. The second trade fair, MF-Tokyo 2011, showcased 148 companies in 891 booths. For MF-Tokyo 2013, 197 companies in 1055 booths will join the exhibition. There will be 294 companies including co-exhibitors – showing a 30% increase of participants per event. Booths have likewise increased 20% consecutively. Approximately 35,000 visitors are expected to attend the event this year. Japan and Germany are the primary countries involved in forming machine development and production that introduce new technologies, machinery and methods. The number of exhibitors from outside of Japan has increased with each successive exhibition. We believe that we have created a good forum for companies to exhibit in Asia.

A symposium between manufacturers has also been planned to coincide with the exhibition. Engineers from several leading manufacturers will join the panel to discuss claims and benefits in three areas: "Evolution of the Servo Press", and "Evolution of the Hot Forging Press" - two areas where Japan is renown as being on the cutting edge; and "Evolution of the Fiber Laser Cutting Machine ", where Japan has shown remarkable progress. There will also be a lecture on a new light and strong material entitled: "Evolution of CFRP Processing Methods", held on the last day of the exhibition. We aspire to broaden awareness of Japan's high level of technological expertise by promoting its constructive technological progress in these presentations.
