MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phillips Distilling Company (Phillips) today announces two new additions to its Prairie Organic portfolio of spirits, Prairie Organic Gin, a light and refreshing gin and Prairie Cucumber-Flavored Organic Vodka, a crisp, garden-fresh vodka with soft cucumber flavors.
Quickly earning industry appeal, Prairie Organic Gin won a gold medal at the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a high score of 86 points at the 2013 Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Prairie Organic Gin is carefully handcrafted with a blend of coriander, angelica, lemon, cassia and juniper flavors. Herbal fragrances of mint and sage smooth the palette with a long, delicate finish.
Handcrafted from a blend of cucumber essential oils and Prairie Organic Vodka, Prairie Cucumber-Flavored Organic Vodka delivers an invigorating, clean finish with just the right hint of cucumber.
Prairie Organic spirits are the result of a unique partnership between Phillips and a co-op of over 900 Minnesota farmers, all stakeholders in the Prairie Organic brand. The distillery has earned Oregon Tilth organic certification, ensuring every step of the distillation process meets organic standards. All Prairie Organic spirits are handcrafted from certified organic #2 yellow corn raised by Minnesota farmers. Prairie Fizz |
| 2 oz Prairie Organic Gin |
| 1 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed |
| 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed |
| ½ oz simple syrup |
| Splash of club soda |
| Handful of mint |
Muddle mint in shaker. Add gin, lemon juice, lime juice and simple syrup with ice, shake. Keep shaking, then strain into a highball glass and top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Garden Martini |
| 2 oz Prairie Organic Gin |
| 2 teaspoons dry vermouth |
| 1 rosemary sprig |
| 3 pitted olives |
Combine gin, dry vermouth and ice in shaker. Shake and strain into martini glass. Strip leaves from bottom half of rosemary sprig and skewer olives to garnish.

Garden Variety |
| 2 oz Prairie Cucumber-Flavored Organic Vodka |
| 2 1-inch cubes of seedless watermelon |
| 1 diced lime (bitter ends removed) |
| 1 oz organic agave nectar |
| 1 cucumber slice |
| Salt |
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake, then serve in a lowball glass over ice with a lightly salted rim. Garnish with a slice of cucumber.

Cool Mary |
| 2 oz Prairie Cucumber-Flavored Organic Vodka |
| ½ cup tomato juice |
| A squeeze of fresh lemon |
| Worcestershire sauce to taste |
| Hot sauce to taste |
| 1 thick cucumber slice, notched |
Mix vodka, tomato juice, a squeeze of fresh lemon, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce in a shaker. Shake with ice and pour mixture (including ice) into a highball glass. Garnish with cucumber on rim of glass.
