What
More than 20 Mississippi River Mayors are holding a press briefing to announce important developments in their work to make the Mississippi River more sustainable—including a first-ever Memorandum of Common Purpose with the Army Corps of Engineers. The briefing will be followed by the Mayors’ Jobs Forum, where leaders in navigation, agriculture, water infrastructure, and recreation/tourism industries will discuss job opportunities. The Mayors—members of the Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative (MRCTI), a mayoral-led effort comprised of 55 River Mayors committed to creating a coordinated voice for the Mississippi River—are having their second annual organizational meeting in St. Cloud from June 26-28 to continue their efforts to improve the shared waterway.
