PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the National Transport Authority (NTA) in Ireland to provide transport modeling expertise in support of the NTA’s responsibility for the development of an integrated transport system in the Greater Dublin Area, Ireland.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is developing general, macro and detailed micro simulation models to support the NTA’s transportation planning and analysis of investment priorities in Dublin.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Bob Duff stated, "Jacobs is delighted to build upon our past commissions with the NTA, and we look forward to expanding our relationship as we continue to support Ireland’s transportation programs through this modeling project."
The role of the NTA is to develop greater use of sustainable modes of transportation across Ireland in support of government policies and priorities.
