HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hoover Energy Partners LP and its affiliate Pecos River Pipeline I, LP (“Hoover”) announced today that it has commenced operations of its Balmorhea Compressor Station, Bulrush Pipeline and Essex Station facilities located in Reeves County, Texas. Located in the heart of the Delaware Basin, the Balmorhea Station will provide compression services for Hoover’s 100+ miles of natural gas gathering infrastructure. Hoover’s gathering facilities will now enjoy a suction pressure of 30 PSIG versus the historic 100+ PSIG provided by a third party. The reduction in pressure will result in volumetric uplift and higher overall system availability. Hoover has initially deployed 3 Valerus - Waukesha 5794 compressors with a capacity of over 15MMcfd, expandable to 70+MMcfd. Downstream of Balmorhea Station, Hoover has completed the construction of Bulrush Pipeline, a 15 mile high pressure 8” steel pipeline that redelivers into Regency’s high pressure system downstream of Regency’s Station 799. Located at the terminus of Bulrush Pipeline is Hoover’s newly completed Essex Station separation facility. Condensate fall-out from the 6-7GPM gas stream will be recovered at both Balmorhea and Essex and trucked to local markets. Hoover President and COO, Randy Hoover said, “These facilities represent the next step in Hoover’s positioning to compete directly for associated rich gas in the Delaware Basin. Lower pressure and better run times are step one while cryogenic processing services will follow as competitor dedications expire.”
Additionally, Hoover affiliate, Hoover Energy Texas LP (“Hoover”), announced today that it has contracted with Zephyr Gas Services to begin construction of the Comanche Plant, a 10MMcfd Jules Thompson liquids extraction plant. Hoover’s Comanche Plant will be located on a 30 acre site near its Gomez Treating facilities and act as the first phase of Hoover’s effort to become a gas processor in Pecos County, Texas. Hoover will leverage its existing Gomez System, consisting of 550 miles of steel, lean gas gathering infrastructure, by converting as much as 110 miles of its Gomez System into “rich” gas gathering service. Hoover is already connecting associated gas from Wolfbone and Wolfcamp completions and expects to be operational and offering producers NGL value in September 2013. Hoover President and COO, Randy Hoover said, “We’re working to convert our pipeline system in an effort to serve the producing community as they develop the Delaware Basin south from Reeves County into Pecos County. Early activity indicates the play is moving right across the top of our asset base. With success at Comanche Plant, phase two will be the construction of a Pecos County cryogenic facility that we believe can be operational in early 2015.”
