HTA Releases RFPs for Tourism Destination Marketing Management Services in China and Taiwan

HONOLULU--()--The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA), the state’s tourism agency, has issued two Requests for Proposals (RFP) for tourism destination marketing management services in China and Taiwan. The HTA welcomes submittals from qualified organizations that have proven experience in destination management and representation services in the China and Taiwan markets.

The HTA will select the offer determined most advantageous to Hawai‘i’s tourism economy, taking into consideration multiple factors including applicant qualifications, experience, sales and marketing approach and price, in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFPs.

The new contracts under the RFPs will replace the current contract that ends on Dec. 31, 2013. The HTA plans to award the new contracts in August 2013, which will run for two years from Jan. 1, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2015, followed by as many as three one-year contract renewal options that may be exercised at HTA’s sole discretion.

Written submittals are due no later than Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., HAST (Hawai‘i-Aleutian Standard Time) in the manner described in the RFPs.

The RFPs will be available beginning Monday, May 13, 2013 at the HTA office (Hawai‘i Convention Center, first level at 1801 Kalākaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawai‘i 96815), during business hours (7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) or may be downloaded online at www.hawaiitourismauthority.org. The HTA will not accept any mail requests for the RFPs.
