SINALOA, Mexico & SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Mexican state of Sinaloa’s economic development board (Consejo para el Desarrollo de Sinaloa Mexico, or CODESIN) has announced the launch of its new website, www.sinaloaforbusiness.com, and Twitter presence (@Sinaloa4Biz), designed to provide information on the opportunities and incentives available to U.S. businesses that consider nearshoring operations in the state.
The website showcases the geographic, economic and workforce advantages of locating operations in Sinaloa, and includes videos featuring interviews with state officials, an outsourcing expert, representatives from Sinaloa universities, and managers of local operations for international companies.
"This new website will help us share why Sinaloa is the ‘North American Alternative’ to overseas operations," said Carlos Balderrama, executive president of CODESIN. "Sinaloa’s proximity to the United States ensures that goods can rapidly reach the United States via our two ports and direct road and rail access, simplifying operations and eliminating the need for trans-oceanic shipping costs."
Over the past decade, Mexico has increasingly challenged other overseas locations as the premier destination for outsourced operations. The state of Sinaloa spans nearly 300 miles along the Pacific coast, from the world-famous resorts of Mazatlán to the northern border along the Gulf of California, and is only a half-day’s drive from Arizona or Texas. The major business hubs of Culiacán, Los Mochis, Guasave and Mazatlán can be easily reached by air from the United States. Sinaloa is an ideal location for manufacturing, IT support, call centers, and other operations supporting U.S.-based companies.
“The Sinaloan workforce is young, educated and ready to hit the ground running to help make businesses successful,” added Balderrama. “CODESIN staff is eager to work with your business to streamline government permit processes, find the best facilities to create an exceptional work environment and assist you in ensuring that you get the best possible package of incentives that are offered to investors.”
