BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--()--On April 27, key members of Chevrolet Corvette engineering, product management and production staff assembled at the Callaway exhibit at the 2013 NCM Bash. The NCM (National Corvette Museum) Bash is an annual, four-day gathering of Corvette owners held at the Bowling Green, Kentucky, facility.

Chris Chessnoe, Callaway’s Dealer Program Manager, was on hand to participate in the National Corvette Museum Delivery of a new Callaway Corvette, and gathered the group of GM managers to update them on the 155,000 mile Callaway Corvette demonstrator on display. For over 25 years, Callaway Cars has produced specialist variants of Chevrolet performance vehicles. After their review, Chris presented each of the Chevrolet managers with a copy of Reeves Callaway’s new 86-page book, “Callaway Corvette 25th Anniversary Limited Edition RPO B2K” chronicling the development and production of the commemorative Callaway Corvette model.

The book describes how twenty-five, specially prepared Corvettes were built at the Bowling Green plant at the end of the 2012 model year and shipped to Callaway factories for final assembly. To memorialize the special edition, Chevrolet reinstated Regular Production Option (RPO) B2K, the same option code that they had assigned to the 1987 – 1991 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvettes 25 years prior.
