GEO Semi Announces New Board Member and Appointment of Three Executives

With a strong board and strengthened senior management team, GEO enters next phase of growth

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--GEO Semiconductor Inc. ("GEO"), the industry leader in high performance, programmable geometric processing, compression and video processing solutions, today announced that David Orton, formerly CEO of ATI Technologies and Aptina, has joined the GEO board of directors. In addition to serving on GEO’s board, Mr. Orton will chair a newly formed Strategic Committee to help shape GEO’s business strategy and evaluate additional ways to leverage its intellectual property assets.

GEO also announced three senior executive appointments. Eric Erdman has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, Brian Gannon has been appointed Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, and Sudhir Chandratreya Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Erdman most recently served as CFO at ViXS Systems Inc., a leading provider of network media processing solutions, and previously served as CFO and interim CEO at Genesis Microchip as well as CFO at Silicon Optix Messrs. Gannon and Chandratreya joined GEO through its acquisition of Maxim Integrated’s Digital Video business, where they served as General Manager and Executive Director of Engineering, respectively.
