EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--()--On April 2, 2013, the Jilin Delegation, a group of public and private administrators from China toured West Basin Municipal Water District’s Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility. The delegation visited the U.S. to learn about water recycling facilities and the management experience of American enterprises in urban waste water treatment. Their goal was to learn about what U.S. manufactured equipment and systems can be used in China’s waste water plants, and they hope to use this knowledge to import recycling wastewater treatment equipment through loans extended by the US Import and Export Bank in the future.

West Basin’s Ron Wildermuth and Wyatt Won led the group through an information session explaining the impact of population, daily water supply, water sources, cost and price on upper and lower supply chains. The group also discussed how private enterprises play a role in the daily operation of the facility.
