Camuto Group Selects Demandware as Digital Backbone for Omni-Channel Strategy

Leading lifestyle brand to leverage Demandware’s cloud platform to deliver a progressive, consumer-centric shopping experience across channels

BURLINGTON, Mass.--()--Demandware®, Inc. (NYSE: DWRE), the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, today announced that the Camuto Group, a leader in the design, development and distribution of women's fashion footwear and accessories, has selected the Demandware Commerce platform to power omni-channel operations for its flagship brand, Vince Camuto. Camuto Group will leverage Demandware’s cloud platform to relaunch the Vince Camuto website, and will use Demandware’s responsive web design capabilities to deliver a seamless consumer experience across mobile and tablet devices. Camuto Group signed with Demandware in the first quarter of 2013.

Camuto Group selected Demandware for its omni-channel capabilities, as well as its robust marketing and merchandising applications. For the Camuto Group, re-launching the Vince Camuto site on the Demandware platform is only the beginning. The company’s longer-term strategy is for digital commerce to also support the in-store shopping experience, which Camuto Group believes will increase sales across all channels.

“Technology is rapidly changing the way the customer researches, shops and interacts with brands. eCommerce is a key strategic component to integrate technology across all Vince Camuto touch points to provide a seamless, progressive experience for our customers,” said Larry Promisel, Senior Vice President, Digital Commerce, Camuto Group. “We looked for an ecommerce provider that could grow with us and support sophisticated features with flexibility and an innovative, scalable and secure technology. Demandware’s digital commerce platform lets us focus on the brand, the products and creating the best customer experience, not on managing code and technical infrastructure. Demandware is the best choice for our rapidly growing consumer lifestyle brand.”

“Camuto Group recognizes that the future of digital commerce is in the cloud. Traditional on-premise or hosted ecommerce platforms cannot keep pace with the rapidly changing retail environment where the connected consumer increasingly expects a seamless, personalized user experience across channels. By choosing the scalability, continual innovation and extendibility of our cloud platform, the Camuto Group has the flexible digital commerce backbone necessary to grow with confidence,” said Jeffrey Barnett, Chief Operating Officer, Demandware.
