(RDC), a leading global provider of decision-ready intelligence and risk and compliance protection services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Capon as Vice President of Data Strategy. Mr. Capon brings more than 25 years of data management, resourcing and research experience to RDC.

Mr. Capon had served as the Vice President of Content for Dow Jones and was responsible for the research team behind their Risk and Compliance offerings. This included the monthly processing of millions of intelligently coded articles in 26 languages into the Factiva archive. Mr. Capon began his career in 1985 with the UK-based news archiving company Finsbury Data Services, which was acquired by Reuters a couple of years later. Mr. Capon was part of the team behind the first Reuters Business Briefing (RBB) product and had two spells in Asia expanding RBB’s Chinese and Japanese capabilities. Mr. Capon moved to the US in 2001 to work on the technology and people organization in creating the Factiva Source Processing engine which takes in the thousands of sources and millions of articles into the Factiva products.
