MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--QualMetrix, a Miami-based healthcare analytics company committed to reducing cost while enhancing the quality of healthcare, has named Adam House its chief executive officer. The addition of House brings significant leadership and technical expertise to QualMetrix as it begins implementing its proprietary software and business intelligence tools.
House, 35, and his team will work directly with managed care companies, public and privately-held businesses, third party administrators, accountable care organizations, providers, and other medical management groups. By analyzing medical claims data, QualMetrix enables its clients to save money and improve the quality of the care it provides by identifying outliers in the delivery of services.
“Adam is the perfect addition to our team of seasoned healthcare professionals,” said Dr. Lawrence Schimmel, co-founder and chairman of QualMetrix. “His more than 15 years of C-level experience leading tech companies rounds out our capabilities and means clients will get maximum benefit from our software solution and medical expertise.”
House has a history of moving start-up ventures toward successful outcomes, most recently founding and leading Velocitude prior to its sale to Akamai. He also started DMA International, which was acquired by the V12 Group, and was co-owner of the Rochester Razorsharks, a professional team he also played for in the Premier Basketball League.
“This is a critical stage in the history of QualMetrix,” said House. “My focus is on integrating my knowledge of technology into the services that will be provided so that our client’s bottom line benefits from the medical economics resources we offer.”
Schimmel, a general and vascular surgeon and the former CEO of Allied Health Group, founded QualMetrix in response to the uncertainty surrounding the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”), which requires all healthcare stakeholders to do more with less while improving the quality of care.
QualMetrix provides solutions to clients by merging cutting-edge technology and knowledge from healthcare executives with more than 150 combined years of hands-on experience. The robust and dynamic database constructed by its technology team coupled with a proprietary business intelligence tool provides information that helps clients control the cost of care, enhance quality, and succeed in the new era of healthcare reform.
