IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CTC Global today announced it has entered into a formal business relationship with General Cable (NYSE: BGC) to jointly manufacture high-capacity, low-sag and energy-efficient ACCC® conductor solutions for electric utilities in the U.S. and Canada. The collaborative effort will allow CTC Global to utilize General Cable’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and expertise to produce the ACCC conductor, which has been deployed at more than 250 project sites in over 25 countries worldwide.
General Cable began working with CTC in 2004, gaining extensive experience manufacturing the ACCC conductor. With its acquisition of Alcan Cable in 2012, General Cable has become a leading manufacturer of electrical utility cables in North America and one of the largest in the world.
