CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Valence Health, a leading provider of clinical integration, population health and financial risk management solutions, today announced that Sara Teppema joined the company as director of actuarial services. Teppema will be responsible for financial and risk based modeling and also play a key role in supporting the increasing demand for Valence Health’s expertise in enabling hospitals and health systems to design and offer their own health plans.

Teppema has more than 20 years of experience in providing strategic and tactical actuarial, clinical and financial analyses for healthcare organizations, employers and government entities. Prior to joining Valence Health, Sara Teppema served as senior fellow for practice research for the Society of Actuaries. Previously, Teppema was a consulting actuary for Aon Hewitt and Deloitte Consulting. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics-actuarial science.
