What
A group of Mississippi River Mayors and members of
Congress are holding a press briefing on March 21 to announce the
formation of a Mississippi River Caucus. The Mayors—members of the Mississippi
River Cities & Towns Initiative (MRCTI), a new mayoral-led
effort to create a coordinated voice for the Mississippi River—will also
unveil a Mississippi River platform for improving the waterway. As a
backdrop to the briefing, the Mayors are hosting a free photographic
exhibit set on top of a giant floor map of the River. MRCTI has
partnered with over a dozen member-city arts councils to display
professional river-inspired photos.
