inovia Adds 10 New Countries to its Global Network of Agents

International Network of Agents Reaches 122 Countries, Providing PCT National Stage Entry Filings and European Validation in Key Global Markets

NEW YORK--()--inovia, the leading foreign filing provider, today announced that it has added 10 new countries to its global network of agents in one month, bringing the total number of countries supported to 122. Half of the new countries announced today represent expansion in Latin America. This historic growth underscores the increased global demand for Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) national stage entry filings and the use of technology solutions like inovia.com that help reduce the cost and complexity of international patent filing.

In just over six months, inovia has grown its global network of agents by 44 percent. On the heels of last month’s announcement that firms in Hong Kong, Morocco, Italy and the Netherlands had joined the network, today the following countries and leading intellectual property firms have been announced:

  • Algeria: Saba & Co.
  • Costa Rica: Bufete Mejia & Asociados
  • Ecuador: Moeller IP Advisors
  • El Salvador: Bufete Mejia & Asociados
  • Kenya: Spoor & Fisher
  • Nicaragua: Bufete Mejia & Asociados
  • Peru: Moeller IP Advisors
  • San Marino: Barzanò & Zanardo
  • Syria: Saba & Co.
  • Tunisia: Saba & Co.

inovia partners with firms that have unmatched knowledge and experience in all areas of IP prosecution, registration and enforcement. In addition to the countries supported above, Saba & Co. works with inovia as an agent partner in Egypt and Morocco for PCT filings. Bufete Mejia & Asociados also supports PCT filings in Belize, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Honduras while Moeller IP Advisors is also inovia’s agent for Paris Convention filings in Argentina. In addition to PCT filings into Kenya, Spoor & Fisher supports ARIPO, OAPI and South African filings for inovia. By partnering with firms with a strong, multi-jurisdictional reach, inovia is able to pass on greater efficiencies and costs savings to its clients.

inovia has received tremendous interest from the global IP community in the last year, as demand for outsourced IP solutions continues to impact the industry,” said David Nelson, CEO of inovia. “Our 40 percent increase in countries has been driven by client demand. When a biotech, pharma or medical devices client wants to file broadly, they really file broadly. We’re regularly handling PCT nationalizations into 10 to 40 or more countries at a time. For the client, it takes just five minutes using inovia.com instead of the many hours using traditional methods.”
