PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stroll is pleased to announce that its Vice President of Operations, Avik Roy, has been named a winner of the 2013 Philadelphia SmartCEO Executive Management Awards. Selected by a panel of business leaders, the Executive Management Awards acknowledge the contributions of executive-level professionals to some of the Philadelphia-area’s most prestigious companies.
Roy is recognized for his ability to foster an operating environment and cultural realm that creates a high-performance team atmosphere. Since he joined Stroll in 2011, the company has experienced tremendous growth at a rate of over 100 percent each year. Roy has been successful in building out operating capacity and capabilities, while supporting performance of the business infrastructure to support that growth. His effectiveness is a direct result of his business methodology, which involves identifying the right metrics to drive performance and openly communicating each team member’s impact on the company’s bottom line.

Avik Roy previously served as Senior Vice-President of Corporate Development and Operations at Kaplan EduNeering (now UL EduNeering). He has also held leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ernst & Young LLP, and McKinsey & Co. Roy is a co-founder of MedAvante, and holds an MBA from The Wharton School, MS degrees from Harvard and MIT in planning and design, and a Bachelor of Architecture from The School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, India.
