PROVO, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vivint, the largest home automation services company in North America, today announced the creation of the Vivint Innovation Center. The Center, and the employees located there, will focus efforts on building the next generation of products and technology for the company. All technologies developed will be vertically integrated into the company’s solutions in home automation, energy management, home security and solar energy.
The Vivint Innovation Center, located in Lehi, Utah, is comprised of approximately 50 hardware, software and radio engineers, industrial designers and user experience professionals. The Center is led by Matt Eyring, chief strategy and innovation officer; J.T. Hwang, chief technology officer; Jim Nye, vice president of product development; and Jeremy Warren, vice president of innovation. Warren joins Vivint from 2GIG Technologies, where he served as chief technology officer.

The Center is already home to more than 50 product and software engineers that Vivint has hired over the past couple of months. In line with expected growth, the Center plans to add up to 100 more jobs within the next two years.
