(NASDAQ: GK) announced today that its manufacturing facility in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was awarded a Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) Gold Certificate of Compliance. The certification reflects the facility’s compliance with the WRAP Principles, which are based on local law and workplace regulations, generally accepted international workplace standards, and a commitment to workplace safety and the environment. G&K’s facility in the Dominican Republic manufactures work apparel products, which the company uses to supply its uniform rental and uniform direct sale businesses. The facility produces more than three million garments annually.
