ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Tessitura Network Inc., the leading provider of technology, services and learning community for the arts and cultural sector, was a sponsor, exhibitor and prominent presenter at the International Ticketing Association conference (INTIX), held January 29-31, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. Tessitura Network’s position as an innovative leader in total customer relationship management was an ideal complement to the conference theme of “Magical Service Sparks Real Results!” Tessitura users and staff were featured in three presentations during the conference, which featured best practices at Network organizations to communicate effectively with patrons and achieve operational excellence.
Business intelligence was the topic of several INTIX sessions, and in a presentation entitled “Reporting Dreams Can Be Reality: Ticketing and Marketing Analytics,” Nicole Keating of Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (Miami) spoke on how the organization utilizes data in Tessitura to improve audience communication and increase revenue. Andrew Recinos, Executive Vice President of the Tessitura Network and an expert in the field of data analytics and business intelligence, presented on how strategic business goals can be tracked and met through effective reporting. “The Tessitura Business Intelligence suite – comprised of 200 customizable reports, advanced data mining and configurable Tessitura Dashboards - help Network organizations like the Arsht Center realize thousands of dollars in additional revenue,” notes Recinos. “Best of all, these services are included with the Tessitura license at no additional cost.”
Another prevalent topic at INTIX was monetizing social media, and Tessitura Network Vice President of Internet Strategy, Kristin Tigart, presented alongside Lisa Middleton of Stratford Festival about TN Social Ticketing™, a product which allows patrons to quickly purchase single tickets or group tickets with Facebook friends, all without ever leaving Facebook. TN Social Ticketing, introduced in 2012, is already in use by several Tessitura member organizations and can be implemented as either a fully custom-built Facebook app, as elected by Stratford Festival, or as fully-brandable, quick-to-market prebuilt application from the Tessitura Network.
“Increase Ticket Sales Based on Audience Profiles and Behavior” included a presentation by Anne Trites on Yale Repertory Theatre’s recent use of Tessitura’s business intelligence tools to test actual customer behavior against long-held assumptions. Trites is the Director of Marketing for Yale Rep as well as an Associate Professor at the Yale School of Drama, and she described how the marketing department changed their approach and ongoing strategy based on her study results. “Tessitura made it easy for us to access the data we needed in order to make informed decisions about where to invest our marketing dollars,” said Trites. “It also enabled us to analyze pricing data and make significant changes to our strategies that resulted in increased revenue.”
Later this year over 1,400 members of the Tessitura Community are expected for the annual Tessitura Learning & Community Conference (TLCC), which will expand on the themes mentioned above in 200 discussion sessions and presentations. TLCC is the largest cross-genre, cross-department, cross-function, cross-geography gathering in the arts and cultural industry. “The opportunity to learn and share with the Tessitura experts, partnering vendors and industry colleagues is extraordinary and goes beyond software topics - it’s also about best practices, strategies, legal issues. It’s the one professional development expense that my CEO and I agree can't be cut,” says Susan Crockett, Chief Information Officer at Ruth Eckerd Hall.
