MDE Announces a Revenue Cycle Management Session at the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention

Program offers tools, tips and tricks to increase cash flow and improve practice profitability

ROANOKE, Va.--()--Mercury Data Exchange (MDE), a provider of real-time revenue cycle management services for dental offices, presents an educational session called “Front office team – become revenue cycle heroes” at the 2013 Rocky Mountain Dental Convention (RMDC). The program helps dental practice administrators take control of their office’s productivity and profitability through revenue cycle management best practices.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 24, in Denver, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MT. The session will be led by Mindy Altermatt, a former office manager and expert in insurance and cash flow management.

“As an office manager, I understand the struggles many administrators encounter and truly believe that reevaluating those often overlooked, day-to-day financial processes can be the most impactful in creating a more profitable—and more efficient—practice,” said Mindy Altermatt, FAADOM. “The revenue cycle hero workshop provides tips and tricks that administrators can bring to their dentists as tangible next steps to increasing efficiency and productivity.”

Attendees of RMDC will have the opportunity to attend the revenue cycle workshop to gather insight from Mindy, including:

  • Workflow and system implementations that help practices decrease accounts receivable in six simple steps;
  • Identification of the most common errors that slow down cash flow; and
  • Tips for successful treatment presentation leading to more case acceptance and profitability.

“As the necessity for closer collaboration between doctor, patient and payer becomes more significant to the success of our industry, the programs at RMDC aim to position doctors and administrators with forward-thinking solutions to become empowered business professionals,” said Richard Moore, president of MDE. “Mindy is an expert in the field and brings unique insight into the critical role of the front-office team to a practice’s success, both financially and as it relates to communicating with patients and insurance companies.”

Mindy Altermatt is a revenue cycle consultant with expertise in insurance and cash flow management. She was the American Association of Dental Office Managers’ 2007 Office manager of the year, bringing hands-on experience as a practice administrator to her current consultant role at MDE.

RMDC is an annual conference for dentists and dental office professionals to network and gain insight into current trends, industry best practices, new dental equipment and business management tools and more, to improve overall dentistry efforts.

MDE will also be sponsoring a second session at RMDC called “Foundations of office management” on Friday, January 25, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. MT. The program will be led by Teresa Duncan, experienced dental consultant, and will highlight managerial and leadership skills dentists and managers need to create a solid foundation to drive practice success.

Register to attend “Front office team – become revenue cycle heroes” and “Foundations of office management”.
